A long-running partnership
The Bureau oversees infrastructure planning and management for Sapporo, Japan's fifth-largest city, coordinating transportation, land use and sustainable development across the municipality. It began working with us in 2021 after evaluating our AI-based mapping — systems that extract detailed map features from imagery with human-level accuracy and at a fraction of the time manual methods require.
Why it matters
As one representative from the Bureau's Planning Division put it, the combination of advanced AI and reliable, high-quality data made for an ideal collaborator in expanding the city's geospatial capabilities.
